欧东格、阿皮尤和他们的爸爸一起生活在城市里。他们非常期待过暑假，因为那个时候他们不用去学校，而且他们还可以去看奶奶。他们的奶奶住在一个渔村里，靠近一片很大的湖泊。

欧东格和阿皮尤又要去看奶奶了，他们非常高兴。前一天晚上，他们整理好了自己的行装，准备踏上前往渔村的旅程。他们晚上睡不着，整晚都在讨论这个暑假。

当爸爸来接他们的时候，他们一点儿都不想走。孩子们求尼亚·坎亚达和他们一起去城里。她笑着说：“我太老了，不适合住在大城市里。我就在这个村子里面等你们，等你们下次再来。”
